Random Summer Shots

Thought I'd throw together a collaboration of pictures that I've taken since I got out of school in May. Very random and some things maybe not photograph-worthy... but still somewhat enjoyable!

The Trek 820 prior to its 28-mile journey to the Missouri River from Cornhusker Road in Papillion via Bellevue Loop Trail

An old oak tree at the cabin with a summer blue sky in the background

The cabin's charcoal grill prior to being loaded with some tasty steaks

Dad's Honda Rancher

Sunset behind the trees on the bank of the lake (can't get much better...)

My little cousin Mackenzie wouldn't "smile" for the camera... this is the best look I got!

Madison enjoying her turn on the classic tire swing

A sweet full moon behind the neighbors tree

Post-rain shots with the 50mm f1.8 lens

Can you guess where these drops were sitting? Hint: Somewhere pictured above...

My family's 10 year old Cairn Terrier, Razzie, enjoying the striped chair behind dad's back

Stormchasing

On June 17, 2010, at around 8:00pm, an intimidating thunderstorm rolled through Papillion, Nebraska. The clouds lit up with an insane orange color, and lightning followed close behind. I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag and trekked out into the rain in hopes of capturing some good Midwest storm shots.

Tour de LaVista

Out of boredom, a few friends and I decided to go out for a quick photoshoot the other day. Sporting tight-fitting biking attire and a 1980's style Specialized road bike, we took some high speed action shots throughout one of my buddy's neighborhood. Biking lead to street luging and, thought I am not a fan, mock posed pictures, all to take advantage of the sun's natural lighting.
